Colloidal silver is a colourless, almost tasteless liquid, prepared by a special process (electrolysis) and containing a certain concentration of silver particles. This can vary, but we prepare colloidal silver with a concentration of 12 PPM. As it has been proven to be antibacterial and antiviral, it can be an effective alternative to synthetic preparations. It is most commonly used externally (on the skin), for wounds, rashes, allergies, fungus, eczema and internally (ingested) to strengthen the immune system, relieve symptoms of colds and viruses, ear infections, eye infections etc., and can also be inhaled using an inhaler.
Why does our colloidal silver have 12 PPM?
- Antimicrobial use: studies have shown that colloidal silver at concentrations of 12 ppm can be effective against various bacteria and viruses (e.g. inhibiting the growth of Mycobacterium tuberculosis and Staphylococcus aureus).
- Safety and ingestion: a University of Utah study showed that a solution with a concentration of 10-12 ppm is safe for short-term human ingestion without significant side effects.
- Topical use: For topical applications, such as the treatment of skin infections or wounds, concentrations between 10-20 ppm are often used, as this concentration is effective in reducing microbial growth without causing significant side effects.
